What is UV DTF?

UV DTF decals are created using a full-color printing process that produces vibrant, detailed designs on a clear UV DTF film. This film allows for easy application of high-quality, durable images onto a variety of hard surfaces, including cups, mugs, laptops, water bottles, and phone cases. DTF printing offers a cost-effective way for businesses to expand their printing options. Unlike other transfer methods, UV DTF transfers do not require a heat press or specialized equipment and can be applied to numerous substrates. These decals are printed using UV printers, where the ink is cured with UV light to ensure durability and clarity.

These transfers are weather-resistant and scratch resistant. (We do not recommend using in a dishwasher or microwave.)

Application Instructions

Please be aware that we are not responsible for any issues resulting from incorrect application or damage to UV DTF transfers during the process. While we take pride in offering high-quality products and excellent customer service, we cannot be held accountable for any unforeseen complications that may occur during application.

Steps for Application

  1. Prepare the Surface

    • Wipe down your substrate with alcohol to remove dust and debris.
    • Ensure it is completely dry before proceeding.
  2. Smooth the Transfer

    • Use a felt-lined squeegee to press firmly on both sides of the UV DTF transfer.
  3. Remove the Backing

    • Carefully peel the backing away from the transfer, rather than pulling the transfer off the backing.
  4. Position the Design

    • Align the transfer on your substrate and confirm correct placement.
    • Once any part of the transfer adheres to the surface, it cannot be adjusted.
  5. Apply the Transfer

    • Press the transfer onto the surface, working outward from the center.
    • A felt-lined squeegee or fingers can help smooth out any bubbles.
    • The more you press, the better the adhesion.
  6. Peel Off the Transfer Film

    • Once the transfer is fully applied, slowly peel away the top film.
    • If any portion starts to lift, lay the film back down and press/squeegee that area before attempting to remove it again.
    • Tip: Peel the film at a low angle, keeping it close to the surface for best results.
  7. Allow for Curing

    • Let the project cure for at least 24 hours before use or washing.

*Mastering this type of transfer takes practice to achieve a smooth and successful application. If you're new to UV DTF transfers, we strongly suggest purchasing extra transfers to practice with before selling them to your customers. This will help ensure you're confident in the process and achieve the best results.
